30/07/09 what was supposed to be the best day of my life!!!

30th of July, mine and my partners 1st year anniversary!!! When we met, it was the most fantastic time, we loved each other from that moment, true we met via the internet, on a dating site, and had known of each other for about a month before hand. From that moment we met we where inseparable! Its been the perfect sort of relationship, nothing has gone wrong with us two personally. He encouraged me when I lost my job, helped me through my driving test, for without him I would have failed again and had to carry on doing my test for many years.

Everything between us has been perfect. No arguements, we did have this one spat but that was because he didn't tell me something that was bothering him. But that was sorted without raised voices, we just laid out the cards and read them, discussed them and then made an agreement and solved it without the use of shouting. Something most couples can't do! For example his sister, now that is funny, she's about 25 and still sucks her thumb, if she looses out in a competition of some sort she sulks, like a child. It's quite sad, but also at the same time very funny. Anyway I digress from what I was saying.

Our relationship is exactly what I always dreamed off. I love him without a doubt. And on our one year anniversary he proposed. He set the room up beatuifully, candles, and there he stood shaking away. He told me to close my eyes and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes other wise this blog wouldn't be called what it is! For an hour it was magic we just hugged and kissed. It was like no one else in the world mattered, just us. Which left us feeling amazing. Once we'd calmed down, he said we need to change facebook. Now he had already spoken to his mum and sister. I've seen the messages. So we went about changing it. Then it started, she started. She caused such an upset on what was supposed to be our special day, that I personally will never forgive her. She kept going on about my partner never saying anything to her, and her family. Thats the point my partner isn't part of that family, well it doesn't feel like it. They treat him like he is something other than. I mean all she goes on about is how he spends more time with my family than his own. Well for one my family treat him like an adult, they don't try and influence his decisions, whist his family wants to control his choices.

Anyway as soon as his sister started, his mum joined in. And according to to them its not fair that they where left out the loop! They are all hypocrites, she got engaged after 6 months of her being with her partner, in Australia non the less! And well its kinda pointless her telling my partner what to do! Any way its the morning after the proposal! And for that one hour it was the happiest moment of my life so far, they have tarnished the rest of the evening. And the morning, and until they decide to stop!

But I do hope this, that they will realise that I will never forgive them. Never!!! They have disgusted me, and my partner with their behaviour and now have to earn everything back. I feel hurt by them, my family and friends have been nothing but supportive. They have been distructive and damaging. But because they are never wrong, it makes it difficult to get anything right. Everything must be done their way and no one elses, only their feelings matter. What about us? How do they think we feel after all this has blown off? Do we still feel like we did last night? The answer to that is partially, we love the fact now we're one step closer to where we want to go but can't help but feel sick with anger at what they have done.

The best day of my life so far and they had to go and spoil it. Well it sharn't be forgotten, because she gets married next year, and she's already had the happy engagement, so maybe its karmas turn to make the wedding go awful, things go wrong. I don't wish it on her, but i do know karma comes back round. And i hope it does, cos right now she deserves nothing more than karma thrown back at her.

I want to thank them, i want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Because they have shown their true colours. And now I can not trust them, or share things with them. I will not be beaten by them, but i do know that this will come back to haunt them and right now after how i feel i really hope it does!!!!!!!

I do love my partner though more than i can say in words i do! And i am happy we will be sharing the next chapter of our lives together, with or without his families acceptance.

Age vs life experience, over rated or under stated?

Age, what is age? is it a number defining how many years one has lived or the number in which we are categorized as a member of society. You see age is my problem, although I am not that old, well I do not consider myself old, or not even near there. But the issue is how old one must be to gain that valuable life experience that someone keeps telling me about! I'll start with the life experience problem...

Well a couple of months ago an argument broke out with the unmentionables, considering that I want to keep these people well out of my face this is the way I intend to go about it. Over the fact that me and my partner do not have enough life experience to get engaged. When asked what they meant about life experience, they simply stated 'It's going on holiday together'. Life experience is simply 'going on holiday' what kind of experience do they expect? To me, life experience is watching someone die who was really close to you, watching 4 people pass away through cancer. Having to go through being abused by an ex and dealing with the abuse issue from being a child. Never having enough time to be a child is life experience, some say that living a sheltered life and gaining valuable experience through other aspects is that life experience. Having two miscarriges by the age of 20, though still quite young is that not enough life experience? Obviously its not what i thought it could be, just going on holiday, and moving in together is classed as life experience. Do people really have to enjoy this experience to be able to live? Life throws out so many problems like not having enough money, debt, children, no home, extra extra it just goes on, so life experience is something you only gain by doing it.

the other issue that keeps on cropping up, is the aspect of age. Age and life experience just seem to go together. You see age is my problem with my partner being younger than me. I feel like my times slowly giving me the tick tock, and i'm not that old, but you see with cervical cancer, diabetes and alsorts of ideal health issues that age doesn't really seem to matter anymore. But to the unmentionables it matters, to them that can not be spoken of, that is the issue. Age seems to matter if you put children into the line, I don't personally have any (yet) but I wouldn't mind starting a family soon! The unmentionables seem to think that they have the key to deciding whether or not me and my partner have children, what they are to be called, and how they are to dress and everything, including when we are (if ever to get engaged and then married) to do anything with our lives. Age prevents us from doing anything we wish. I mean you have to be 18 to buy alcohol, 16 to buy paracetamol's an knives. When you reach the golden age of 21 it doesn't matter your just legal to drink in America. But how can you prevent someone over the age of 18 from wanting to start a family? Understandable we are looking for a place to live, but old fashioned values surely do not matter in todays openly different society. So are we a number of our years on this earth, or are we a society of ageless ignorant people whose true meaning in life is to create issues such as these to confuse and hurt the people the supposedly love and care for!

Personally life experience is over rated, conceited and ignorant to peoples past and future. It can not be denoted by whomever tells us it is what it is, but by the values of your own life. It is what it is, it is like the value of intelligence which is formed not by the knowledge that one knows but the everyday activities that we do. Like looking out the window and seeing its going to rain, so picking up a coat and umbrella instead of a sun hat, this is intelligence, so even with the most intelligent people in the world life experience may not even be accountable for. As for age, well it is undetermined how to consider the number of years you have been alive. But is it really necessary for this day and age to label each other with the amount of pressure off the age issue. Surely if you are mature enough in mind, well mature enough as one can be, then life should just fall in an ageless way into the natural format in which life it should be.

Its an issue that keeps arising in my life, and there are many more please feel free to comment and things. I'll be back to moan at a later date. Thank you for reading.
